Measure M Construction Update:
Public Safety/Community Education/Main Entry Project: Interior work finishing up. Exterior concrete sitework ongoing with landscaping to follow. Periodic road closures may occur due to deliveries and work adjacent to the road. Concrete trucks will be near the Nursing building as well as the building site Tuesday, 1/12/16 to pour the sidewalks. Main entry sign work to occur periodically. Closures may occur at the main exit during the sign work.
Student Services Project: Access between the Forum2/Music building and the Old Library are closed for the duration of the project(End of 2017). Access is available between the Cosmetology building and the construction fencing for traveling east/west. Utility disconnect work ongoing at different locations within the fencing. Concrete chipping and material removal ongoing. Noise and vibration levels are significant near the construction site. Access to Forum 2 is restricted during January due to these demolition activities. Fire alarm reroute work ongoing this week. Clean up of debris on the Student Center roof from the piping project will occur this week. Installation of a sheet metal cover over the new pipes on the east side of the Student Center restroom building will take place this week. Connection to the Central Plant has occurred. Pedestrians and Drivers need to follow closure signs and flagmen around the site.
Signage Project: New marquee and parking lot ID signs are in progress at all locations. Signs are scheduled to be complete by the end of the month pending weather.
General Construction Update:
Kaplan University Project: Trailers have been set with interior work continuing. Site work to continue now that there is a break in the weather.
Boys & Girls Club Project: Multi-use gym is currently targeted to be complete by the end of January with the After school club building by the middle of March.
