GWC Breaks Ground for new One-stop Center

And opens two new facilities

Groundbreaking-2

Exciting changes are happening on campus this month. The demolition of the old library building a few months ago is making way for the brand new Student Services One-Stop Center. To kick off construction of the new building scheduled for this summer, the President’s office hosted a Groundbreaking Ceremony on Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 at the GWC Bookstore area.

Speakers included Board of Trustees President David A. Grant, Interim Chancellor Gene Farrell, and Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services and co-chair of Measure M Oversight Committee Andy Dunn. The celebration continued at the brand new Community Education and Public Safety building with a Ribbon Cutting / Grand Opening party. The Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Delegates and many civic officials were on hand for the official opening of the building. An open house, building tour and reception took place afterwards in the Community Education / Public Safety area.
