The Golden West College Student Health Center, in association with OCSPCA’s Pets Are Wonderful Support (PAWS) and GWC Student Life, are hosting therapy dogs on campus twice a month through the end of the semester. Both students and staff are delighted to spend a few minutes of their day with these cute canines. Studies have shown the effects of therapy dogs on college campuses goes beyond the smiles. According to the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, there are physical, social and cognitive benefits along with emotional and mental health benefits with bringing these registered therapy dogs to campuses. Need a little break from your day? Join us on the lawn outside the Student Health Center every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month through December.
