Dr. Anthony Tricoli is currently the President of Georgia Perimeter College (www.gpc.edu) a 26,000 student, five campus community college located around the perimeter of Atlanta, GA. Under his leadership the college has reached many successes over the past five years. In fact, this year alone, the AAUP (American Association of University Professors) named him the top leader in the country in the field of college governance.
Anthony Tricoli was a member of the GWC aquatics teams from 1974-76. “I attribute much of my success on the skills and values gained at GWC while training under the guidance of Tom Hermstad, one of the most decorated aquatics coaches to ever walk the earth,” says Tricoli.
He is a busy man with a lot of interests. Wood working, kayaking, fly fishing, and painting capture his attention during his time off. But his true passion is his job. For the past five years, Tricoli has served as the president of Georgia Perimeter College, a position he calls the most rewarding of his life. “I can’t wait to get up in the morning and come to work,” Tricoli said. “I know I’m going to get to help students achieve their dreams. I’ve been asked four times to move to the university level. But this is where I belong,” Tricoli said. “I feel like I was put in the right place at the right time. It really is a dream come true for me and my career and I’m honored to hold this role.”
