Daniel Okabe
In an effort to inform and mobilize the community to act on behalf of ending genocide, Jewish World Watch held its 4th annual Orange County WALK TO END GENOCIDE on the morning of April 25, 2010, at Mile Square Regional Park in Fountain Valley. Hundreds of individuals participated in the Walk from churches, synagogues, schools, organizations and communities, including students from the GWC Peace Studies program. The Golden West College Rock Band performed at the Awareness Fair following the Walk.
GWC International student Daniel Okabe wrote songs about African unity with Recording Arts instructor Renah Wolzinger. “Daniel is a huge inspiration to our program and to our students. He was the spark that brought a group of amazing musicians together to perform for important causes and events.”
The Golden West College Rock Band is off to a great start! Look for them at an event in the neighborhood soon.
