The Golden West College Baseball program will host its 4th Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, November 11 at Mile Square Golf Course in Fountain Valley.
The format will be a 4 person scramble on the Classic Course. Entry fee is $150 per person and includes 18 holes with cart, range balls, lunch, a goody bag, and a banquet and buffet dinner after the tournament. Prizes will be awarded for longest drive, closest to the pin, and putting contests.
The fundraising event will include a silent auction and raffle. Foursome packages ($600) include a tee sign and special recognition at the banquet. Tee signs are available for non-playing sponsors for $50. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit GWC Baseball and the Fred Hoover Memorial Scholarship.

Fred Hoover Memorial Scholarship
Fred Hoover was the 1st baseball coach and Charter Member at Golden West College. Over a 21 year span he amassed over 400 victories and was inducted into the California Community College Hall of Fame. He and his wife Barbara were fixtures in the Golden West College athletics division until Fred passed away at the age of 81. Barbara and her family want to support and encourage student athletes in the baseball program with this scholarship.
