GWC Hosts 9th Annual “Science Showtime” Event for Local School Kids
Golden West College opened its doors and labs to over a hundred grade and middle school students for an evening of fun and discovery on Friday, September 29th. Teaming up with the Rotary Club of Huntington Beach, GWC hosted this free event that was open to the public to get grade school kids (and their families) interested in science. Attendees enjoyed many different interactive exhibits, including glow-in-the-dark rocks, math bingo, make-your-own slime, playing with creepy crawlers, generating electricity on a bike, controlling a robot, turning pennies into silver and gold, and much more.
