GWC Theater Student, Amber Luellen, was accepted into the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA), one of the leading British drama schools.
Celebrating its 150th Anniversary in 2011, LAMDA is the oldest drama school in the United Kingdom. The school is located in West London and its alumni includes one of Amber’s personal favorites; John Lithgow.
Amber has really enjoyed her education at Golden West College, especially studying under the direction of Chuck Whitchurch from whom she “took an obscene amount of classes.” Her favorite part was being involved in so many of Golden West’s Theater productions and getting to play lead roles in Beyond Therapy, Jekyll and Hyde, The Actor’s Nightmare, and Othello. She has made so many wonderful friends, and has had the pleasure to learn from our great acting instructors/directors; Martie Ramm and Tom Amen. Now she takes all of her many learnings with her from Golden West on to London! “Tho this be madness, yet there be method in’t!”
Congratulations Amber!
